Thank you Michael Kors for this amazingly chic transitional line!
This Wear It Wednesday is dedicated to Pre-Fall 2015! It’s been stated on Fashionistyle that “Michael Kors has gone girly — sort of. For transeason, he said he riffed ‘on what I would call clichéd feminine things that I would never touch, like bows and pearls, but looking at them in a very graphic way.’ ”
New York Fashion Week is more than just about what designers are introducing for next season… it’s also a place where fashionistas from all around come to strut their stuff as photographers stand by, in front of, along side and even near Central Park where Ralph Lauren unveiled his collection or where models strut their stuff at the Salon of Lincoln Park.
Check out some of my favorite fashionistas of NYFW captured along the streets of New York and share if you would rock it!
I just love Fashion Week and seeing how people show off their style! Would you rock any of these looks?
Last week while we (including ME) were all in an uproar behind the bodacious Beyonce‘ dropping her secret album and breaking the internet… Ms Badu was being hand selected and introduced by Riccardo Tisci, the creative director to be the face of Givenchy’s Spring 2014 collection. This Fab Fashion Friday is a tribute to her.
In the Dallas Morning News, Badu stated “Riccardo’s a fan of my style,” “He told me he really wanted to work with me because he had a special campaign he designed for me. He sent me some of the photos, and I was super-honored; I didn’t take it for granted. Fashion is my thing, and I am a big fan of Riccardo’s — not just because of his amazing eye, but because of his spirit, what he wanted. He wants to give models of color an opportunity, and he chose me as the face for that campaign because he told me I fit what he wanted to represent.” – See more at: fdluxe.dallasnews.com
Erykah Badu is a world known risk taker. She has never been apologetic for her style and is completely comfortable being uniquely beautiful. This mother, artist, vegan, entertainer and icon stepped on the scene with her unique style in 1997 and has stayed true to her individuality never conforming to music industry standards.
When Riccardo Tisci was asked why Erykah his reply was simple: “Erykah, she’s an icon—come on!” “She’s one of the most stylish women I’ve met in my life. She’s got such a good sense of proportion, of colors.”
Check out some of my favorite looks from Ms Badu below:
Black and White is always a classic look. As time progress, street runway artists continue to take traditional looks and modernize them. It gives a fresh look on a classic trend and we just can’t get enough of it! From Lily Collins to Heidi Klum to a friend name Sandi… many are taking these timeless colors and adding there own spin.
From wide leg striped pants, accessories and dresses, some like to mix the classic black and white trend with a pop of color!
But when it comes to men’s black and white fashion… no additional color is needed. Most men opt for a traditional suiting style that remains classic… unless your name is Wiz Khalifa!
But there are always those choosing to stray away from classic in a fun fashionable way!
